In June of last year, the Eastern Long Island Knitting Guild had a members teaching members night. I signed up for two sessions. The two were, learning color work and knitting cables without a cable needle. This week I will start an actual project with what I learned in the color work session. Now, I’m not sure how much I remember from way back then and that’s where Nancy comes in. She is in my Tuesday night knitting group and is familiar with reading color work charts.
I selected Gretchen’s Easy Tam as my first project. It’s a free pattern from Lion Brand Yarns. There is also a video tutorial by Iknits on YouTube.
I’m itching to start my hat. I’ll wait until Tuesday though and will post about it on Wednesday. Let’s see if it’s a s easy as it’s title says.
That’s a great pattern. Good luck with your project.

I look forward to seeing your progress in color work. I haven’t ventured into that yet, but really want to make a Baaa-ble hat.
